Women from the beginning were already been discriminated even without doing anything that could lead to the conclusion “that women is just for household and chores and to be just a mother and a wife”
Women could not express their full potential as they were not given a chance to and an opportunity to do so. Subordination and marginalisation of women in the first place isn’t supposed to happen if women were given an adequate access to education and participation to politics and economy.
So as to speak women being battered but still could not leave the husband all due to because of financial dependency. Women being told “palibhasa sa bahay ka lang kasi” when the reality is their situation did not allow them to go outside and work because they just gave birth. Then with all those jealous husband whom did not allow their wife to go and have work because jealousy and such.
Therefore, i would like to highlight Development feminism a theory that says women’s rights is human rights. Women from the beginning is always the sacrificial one. Now also is the time that they would be given the adequate support and opportunity so that they could also help in sustaining their families needs and finances.
